VIRUSES BEGIN TO ATTACK ANDROID PHONE

Are you Android phone lovers? Are you really sure that Android is the best operating system for your phone? Since this system is claimed to be the safest one among others, not many people realize that anything can happen, including virus and miscellaneous attack on Android.
As reported by NetQin Mobile, Chinese Antivirus Program Developer, their newest research found that two kinds of virus, had attacked Android phone users around the world, especially in The United States. The two viruses were called SW.SecurePhone and SW.Qieting. When infecting its target, SW.SecurePhone could steal and send any data from the targeted handset to its remote server, leaving the handset empty while SW.Qieting would merely steal messages to be transferred to its “boss”.
Beside that, since Android is an open source, certainly this free business model is lack of security keys and code-signing certificates, allowing any application to install and run easily. The big possibility of Adware, Malware, as well as Junkware allows the phone to be used as a tool for advertisers.
To avoid such annoying incidents, it is advisable for all Android lovers to be more careful in downloading applications, since it is predicted to be the most common media for such viruses to attack Android phone. Be sure to download appropriate applications from trusted sources before deciding to beautify your Android gadget. At last, keep in mind that nothing is perfect. Cheers

To be free from such a nasty “creature,” it is wise to know where virus comes from. Basically, virus can infect our mobile phones through three ways: Bluetooth, internet connection, and external memory. So, carefully check the three media by knowing how virus comes.
Bluetooth: When you use Bluetooth for transferring data, make sure you Bluetooth pair is free from virus because the virus can easily move into and infect your mobile phone through such a medium.

HOW YOUR DATA CAN BE STOLEN

How far do you protect your private data?  Have you really been careful in handing over your mobile phone to the trusted person?

These questions are meant to remind you that many people are forgetful. They carelessly put very private and secret files in their mobile phone so that other people can access the files easily, even after they delete the data from the communication device.

Just to know that deleted data can be restored using some specific program. With its high technology, this “recovery” program can reread all deleted and temporary files, such as e-mail, sms, audio, or video and restore them in a certain storage media.

Therefore, do not be surprised if suddenly, your private files are spread all over the world through internet connection after you lost your mobile phone. When a bad person finds your lost phone, he or she can get your private files easily using such recovery program. This only happen if you once put the files in the device.

To avoid such an embarrassing lost, never put the secret thing in your mobile phone, or if it is a must, put your files in external memory card and pull the card when not in use.

YOUR MOBILE PHONE IS IN DANGER

The increasing number of mobile phones stolen forces manufacturers to implement many kinds of security programs, one of which is anti-theft feature. This feature has very diverse types, generally applied directly by the manufacturer into the phone.

In short, how this feature works is as follows: mobile phone owners enter the second phone number (emergency mobile number, the reference number for tracking device) first. This security feature works when there is change of SIM card in the phone. If the SIM card is replaced, the phone will detect and automatically send an SMS to the emergency number.

The contents of the message sent to the emergency number are the new number used by the thief and the location where the phone is, based on monitoring of cellular signal. Even, the security application will send SMS to the emergency number continuously until the credit in the phone reach the minimum limit.

Today, many tracking applications are designed by the non-manufacturers of any brands of mobile phones. However, any tracking application from the third-party is usually offered in a package of security applications. The differences of tracking applications from manufacturers and the third-party is that that of manufacturers can not be eliminated, even if the phone is reset, while that of the non-manufacturer will be lost if we stop subscribing.

So, in case your mobile phone stolen or left somewhere, using this security feature will be very useful. Happy mobiling.

BLUETOOTH, BE AWARE IN UTILIZING IT

Bluetooth is a technology that brings many benefits in the telecommunications industries. We can use Bluetooth for various purposes, especially for transferring data. However, Bluetooth can be used for crimes against other users.

Weaknesses in Bluetooth emerged since 2003, when Adam Lauri, a researcher at A.Digital Ltd., found serious gaps in the function of authentication and data transfer mechanisms on devices that support Bluetooth. Through these gaps, crackers can harm their victims from a Bluetooth device, such as stealing the contents of the phonebook, calendar, mobile IMEI number, copy the contents of memory, or control the device that supports Bluetooth.

Imagine if all of a sudden, your private and secret files that you saved in HP, PDA, or laptop suddenly be accessible to others, of course your privacy will be threatened. This is a deficiency that should you consider when utilizing the Bluetooth feature on your gadget.

However, you do not need to worry because Bluetooth devices can only access other Bluetooth devices within its range. The maximum distance that can be achieved by normal Bluetooth, such as in mobile phones or PDAs, generally is 10 meters, and 100 meters on notebook.

To prevent crime through Bluetooth, avoid using Bluetooth excessively. Do not accept a Bluetooth-pairing request that you do not recognize well. Of course, try to turn off this feature in public places.
