Today, many people gradually change their habit in using QWERTY-keypad mobile phone into touchscreen ones. As the trend comes, many manufacturers also struggle for their market by producing new touchscreen phones such as NOKIA, MOTOROLLA, IPHONE, HTC, LG, etc.
To be familiar with how to use touchscreen mobile phone effectively and efficiently, it is better to know the characteristics of such a new technology. Basically, there are so far two kinds of touchscreens, used by mobile phone, namely resistive and capacitive. The difference of the two touchscreens are as follow:
Resistive :
This kind of touchscreen is so sensitive toward pressure. It normally uses stylus, plectrum, and other similar instruments to press the surface. Resistive touchscreen is generally cheaper. Nevertheless, resistive touchscreen can not support multi finger touch, and is not as clear as capacitive.
Capacitive :
Capacitive touchscreen is so smooth. It only use fingers to press, even with no pressure at all. Capacitive has clearance as high as 90%. It lasts longer in a bright situation; where there is direct sunshine comes. As it doesn’t support stylus and gloves, it is not recommended for those like mountain climbers, highlanders, medical personnel with hand schöen, long-nailed people, and so on.
Therefore, reconsider your need and carefully chose the right mobile phone that suits your activity.
