As the tight competition among network providers results in the decreasing tariff for mobile communication, many mobile phone vendors try to fill such a business opportunity by introducing their products, which suit to the market demand, including Philips. As stated in its promotional site, this Dutch electronic vendor has launched a new product with very competitive price, known as Philips F322.
Designed for low-end segment, Philips F322 comes with QWERTY-keypad only and 2.4 inches TFT display (256K colors). It has 5 MB internal memory, which is upgradable up to 16 GB. This mobile phone works only in 2G network, enabling GPRS Class 10 for data transfer. What makes this mobile gadget so interesting may be its capability to support dual SIM card mode, which enables both cards to work on GSM 900, 1800, and 1900 GSM network.
With the availability of Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, miniUSB port, and 3.5 mm audio jack, this cellular phone seems quite flexible in term of connectivity. Whereas for multimedia, Philips F322 is equipped with 2 megapixels rear-facing camera, accompanied with LED Flash for capturing brighter images. An FM Radio is also implanted inside this low-end cellular phone, enabling its users to stay tune to their favorite radio programs.
Philips F322 has weight about 105 grams in the dimension of 116 x 58.6 x 12.3 mm. Last of all, being a Xenium version, Philips F322 is supported with 1000 mAh Li-Ion standard battery, which is claimed to last for 2 months in stand-by mode, and can stay on up to 10 hours for talk time mode.
Since Philips F322 has its own end-user segmentation, surely its features does not seems so attractive for Smartphone lovers. However, its dual SIM capability and lasting-longer battery may make this cellular phone good as an alternative mobile gadget for certain purposes.
