Blackberry 9700 (Onyx) lovers may be jealous to know that RIM has launched its twin “brother,” namely BB 9780 (Onyx 2). As published by this famous American-based smartphone vendor recently, Onyx 2 comes with the same attractive design as Onyx, but brings more advanced and powerful features.
Compared to Onyx, Onyx 2 has some improvements in its features. In short, these are the new enhanced features in Onyx 2:
1. New Attractive Interface;
Unlike its preceding, Menu Icons in Onyx 2 are collected based on category, such as All, Favourite, Media, Downloads, etc.
2. Adopting New Operating system;
When Onyx still uses BB 5.0 OS, its new twin “brother” uses Blackberry 6.0, which is claimed to be more attractive and comfortable to use.
3. External Memory Slot;
Onyx can support maximum 16 Gigabyte external memory while Onyx 2 up to 32 GB;
4. More Dominant Camera;
Digital camera adopted in Onyx 2 is as detail as 5 Megapixel. Compared to Onyx that has 3, 15 MP camera, Onyx 2 is certainly superior.
5. New More Powerful RAM
While Onyx is supported with 256 MB RAM, Onyx 2 comes with 512 MB RAM, enabling its users to do multitasking faster.
6. Other slightly changed features for internet application, social feed, and maps
Those improvements may bring curiosity to Onyx lovers. Surely, the good design of Onyx, which is still adopted in Onyx 2, does not show the difference between the two. However, for some Blackberry lovers, replacing Onyx with Onyx 2 may become the next step.
Just to remember that technology improves so fast, and we certainly can not overlap it and get to the top. Thus, be wise in being a gadget-update person.
